Memorial Day

Americas equivalent of Australia's ANZAC day is called Memorial Day. It is a day to remember those who died on active service and is usually held on the last Monday in May. Hundreds of American flags appeared on Saturday, out the front of houses and on every grave stone in the cemetery.

Although the weather wasn't very nice, I took the kids down to Draper park for a walk and to play on the play equipment.

The bridge was really pretty and the kids enjoyed looking at the water flowing under it.
We saw kids playing baseball and Ethan told me that one day when he is bigger he wants to play it.
It was a really nice walk around the park. Until it started raining on us of course!
