California Trip/ Christmas

For Christmas we traveled the 10 hour car ride to Sacramento, California to spend it with Davids Mother. I took photos of the changing landscape along the way. In one day I saw three different states; Utah, Nevada and California. The large photo is me trying to take a photo of the 'Welcome to California' sign as we were driving along. I failed.
On Christmas Eve Davids parents took us to watch a show in down town Sacramento. They read 'The Night Before Christmas' and had Santa and Jack Frost battle over the Christmas lights. The kids loved the show! While we were waiting for the show to start Ethan, Ooy and I went into a dress-up shop and tried on some funny hats. Once the show was finished we drove around to look at some of the Christmas lights that Sacramento had to offer. The picture of the Christmas tree is in front of the Capital building.
Christmas morning came and I was woken by Dominic bringing me his shoes. He jumped into my bed and gave me a cuddle for around 15 minutes before I heard that Tina was awake. We woke Ethan up and I took a picture of the kids heading down the stairs ready for their Christmas morning.
We could only pack a few presents for the kids as we were limited on the room we had in the car. They still got lots of fun things to play with though.
On boxing day we drove into San Francisco. We drove over multiple bridges including the Golden Gate Bridge and had lunch at a super yummy (and super expensive!) crab shack and then headed home through the country side of Cali.
I'm really not sure when this photo of Ethan was taken but I had to add it in here. It captures his fun and enthusiastic personality perfectly! The dog beside him is named Nobel. The dog LOVES Ethan to death. So much that he even loves to hump Ethan any opportunity he gets!
We drove home today so that we could beat the snow storm that is going to hit us tomorrow. Ooy bought this giant snickers bar for me. Its FREAKING HUGE! and 2000 calories if you decided to eat the whole thing. MURICA!
I'm so fortunate to be able to travel and see America. Its a bonus that I get to do it with such a lovely family. I'm loving my Au Pair experience!
