The kids finished school on Friday for the Christmas break. So, on Monday we went to the Aquarium! First stop was the penguin enclosure where we saw the penguins swimming below the water as well as waddling on land. Ethan spent the whole time there telling the penguins to jump into the water and just before we left he got his wish and all of them dove in! What a lucky boy he is.
Next, was the fish of Utah where they told us about the fish found in Utah and which ones were in danger of extinction. There was even ducks swimming in the water. I don't know why they didn't fly away but they seemed happy where they were. This area also had otters but they were just too fast to try to photograph.
Next we found the aquarium of South America. There were aquatic animals as well as birds and a swinging rope bride. There was a touch pool which Tina enjoyed but Ethan was too scared to actually touch anything. In the bottom right there is the weirdest looking animal I have ever seen. Im glad I have never had a fish like that end up on my hook!
These next photos are just of the kids goofing around. It was Ethan's idea to measure himself to see his height against the length of the anaconda. Tina was happy to go across the suspended rope bridge but again, Ethan was too scared.
We found a giant playground in the center where the kids spent an hour getting tired before it was time to go home. It was a great day, enjoyed by all!
Wow! That place looks amazing
