I was going through my photos on my phone and realised that I never did a Halloween blog post! So this isn't in order (Halloween was the 31St of October) but I still wanted to post about it.
The Tuesday before Halloween the church hosted a Truck-or-Treat. Its like a mini halloween where everyone decorates the boot of their car and hands out candy. Ethan school actually hosted one as well. David and I decorated the boot of our car (the one in the picture). We picked Dom up early from school so that the two boys could walk around collecting candy.
David and I then decorated our door way. I wasn't home to see the kids reaction to the spiderweb covered door but I'm sure they loved it!
On Friday it was time for the big day. I spent some time with the Simpson family getting organised then went to the Grinceris for dinner. We met up with some of their friends and walked the streets for a few hours. Baylee and Kendall did so well to keep going but boy they were slow! Hayden went on ahead and managed to collect more candy than anyone else and Emma helped out with the babies.
When we got home we put the kids to bed and the adults went to have some more fun. We went to nightmare on 13th! Paul and I went last year and loved it so we made Bec come along things time. I got separated from Bec and Paul at one point and that was a little frightening. The funniest part was when we were in a spinning tunnel and Paul could barely get across the bridge cause he felt like he was going to fall. Another funny part was right at the start when Bec refused to walk across a thin walk way as she thought she was going to fall off the edge. We had to tell her that it was actually a mirror and she couldn't actually fall before she would cross.
This was my first 'real' Halloween and I loved it! America really knows how to get into their holidays!
