Last Friday Bec and I took all 7 children to the local amusement park, Lagoon. Everyone had a great day and even the scaredy cat Ethan went on a few rides. Dominic was a little trouper and went on every ride that he was big enough to go on, including the baby sized 'mega drop'.
Ethan made a best friend in Hayden. Hayden helped Ethan get over his fear of rides and they went on the ride in the picture below three times!
When the little ones got tired we hyped them up with some icey drinks. It definitely did the job.
A highlight of the day was the train ride through the little zoo section of the park. Everyone enjoyed being able to sit down for a few minutes and take in the surroundings.
We convinced Ethan to go on a ride that you sit in a little boat and go floating down a river until you get wet by a waterfall. Ethan HATED it. He ended up crying and told me he never wanted to go on that ride again. The picture below was taken right after that ride and he looks pretty happy so I think he secretly had some fun.
All three kids liked the ferris wheel. Ethan needed me to hold his hand the whole time and freaked out when Tina tried to look over the edge. The views of the park were amazing.
These rides are designed so that the little kids can go on by themselves. It was nice to see the boys enjoying a ride that I didn't need to hold their hands on.
Tina is definitely the thrill seeker out of the three. She went on rides with Emma and Hayden that I didn't even go on because I had the little kids. She went on the swinging pirate boat at least 6 times and barely even screamed on the mega drop! I need to take her back without the little kids and take her on all the big rides.
